The Bibbulmun Fund has allocated funds to support the development of a school program introducing financial literacy and entrepreneurship.
Phase 1 involves the development and publishing of an early childhood picture book with teaching resources. The main character, an Aboriginal boy named Billy, goes on a learning adventure to discover what works, and what doesn’t, in order to save up for a new bike!
The book is being developed throughout 2019, with distribution planned for 2020. The Bibbulmun Fund is inspired to fund further phases of this project, including a book and teaching resources customised for years 4/5, and a program for high schoolers.
